About me
Dr. Sri Kumar has an extensive background in the hospitality industry, spanning over 32 years. He is the founder of DHS Hospitality Academy in Malaysia, and has previously held positions such as training consultant with the largest seaplane operation in the world and Group Director of Human Resources & Training with Best Western Hotels. He is also a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. In addition to his professional experience, Dr. Sri Kumar holds several leadership positions in industry associations, such as being the current President of the ASIA Hospitality Human Resource Association, the Secretary General of ASIA Tourism Association, and the Technical advisor to the South Asia Tourism Federation. He has also received recognition for his contributions to the field, including the Tourism HERO award from the Malaysian Tourism Council in 2020, and being named Ambassador of Good Will by the United Nations in 2021. Currently, he is a Professor of Practice and a member of the Advisory Council for the School of Professional, Executive Education Development of ASIA e University.
